Space
is the place Vol.1 is a simulation of a space flight and the
condition of weightlessness. Through a fish eye magnifying lens
the spectator can see a video of a rocket launch and flying
through space. The video uses different samples from science
fiction animations and computer games. After an astronaut gets
of the rocket and approaches a satellite floating in space,
the video is replaced through a performance: me as an astronaut
wearing a space suit out of air balloons, trying to imitate
weightlessness and dancing in front of a star-light curtain
to a DJ-Mix out of space pop songs from Bowie to Sun Ra. After
the performance the video continues with the rockets way home
to the earth.
